My husband and I just got back from our wedding in Oahu. Our wedding was beautiful, better than I ever dreamed of and it was all because of Cherished in Hawaii Weddings. Carrie and Mark took care of everything for us and made our day very special. I feel very lucky to have had them apart of our wedding day and am positive it turned out perfect because of them. If there is one great decision we made in all of the wedding madness, it was choosing Mark and Carrie to plan and execute our wedding. The entire process went smoothly from start to finish. Carrie took the reins with most of the planning, always deferring to Mark when she needed a second opinion. She was open, friendly, and always easy to contact. My procrastination and indecisiveness never seemed to phase her, even when my decisions changed on a daily basis. She was open to all questions and suggestions, but knew when to stand behind her experience. She has a great sense of humor and a level of enthusiasm that comes as a pleasant surprise. It is clear that she and Mark both care deeply about creating an experience that is personalized and memorable. Our ceremony was just that. Although I was impressed with the ceremony, what really amazed me was that both Carrie and Mark have such great talent in the area of photography! Every detail was captured on film. Hi Jennifer—I am Dewi. You can see our pictures on Cherished website. We had a lot of fun and we took lots of pictures, and most of them turn out really great. When i sort our photos for print, i actually printed a little over 100 of them, because they are all so nice =) You really have nothing to worry about with Mark and Carrie. They are such great people. Carrie has lots and lots of original ideas which make your photos special and unique. She is such a great communicator and I have been driving her nuts with my emails and my specific instructions about what kind of photos I want (from shots, locations, makeup to the my dresses color!). I chose to have my photos taken with them because of Carrie's great attitude and willingness to work with me. Most importantly, I find their service really genuine and there is no plus plus whatsoever like the other photographers (believe me, I researched extensively. Ask them about going to extra locations, getting the photos in cd, the hours limit, etc). Actually, we were so impressed with Mark and Carrie, that we decided to pay them extra! As for the photographer Mark, he is really talented and he is willing to go the extra distance ( you should see the way Mark bent up and down, lie on the grass, etc) to take great pictures of us. You can tell how great a photographer's talent is by the angle shots, clouds in the sky shots, how the colors go together etc. We were in Hawaii for only 6 days, we had our photo the third and forth day, by the fifth day, they have given us our CD! Jennifer, I am getting married in July and all I can say is that Carrie is the best. I cannot imagine doing this without her. Although I don't have a testimony to give after the fact, I can tell you that the planning on my part has been painless and nearly non-existent. Carrie has answered all my silly and trivial questions, reassured me about so many things and kept me sane. I feel like I have truly found a new friend that I will continue to cherish (ah - didn't mean that play on words ) even after the wedding is over. My husband to be drinks Hawaiian coffee exclusively and stocks up when he is there at least twice a year and when he was there and met Carrie and Mark for the first time, Mark brewed him up a fresh pot of coffee! You can't go wrong here. |

When we first decided to marry in Hawaii, I was overwhelmed and didn't know where to begin. I started my mad search for a Wedding Planner and received a huge response from multiple Wedding Planning Agencies, the amount of responses only added to my stress! Carrie was the first of all the Agencies to call me personally and we clicked immediately. I felt so comfortable talking to Carrie and working with her, it seemed as if I’d known her for years! Those reasons and more sealed the deal that we were going to work with you. Before I know it the plans came together, the Big Day came and went. The location Carrie recommended was a breathtaking location, the flowers were beautiful and the restaurant for our meal following the ceremony was delicious (Thank you for making our reservations too J)! Mark you did a wonderful job with our ceremony and we Thank you for marrying us! The photos you both took are gorgeous; you captured our memories exactly as we wanted them to be! Our wedding was so perfect for us and we owe it all to the 2 of you. Everything we asked for and everything we wanted was fulfilled & then some. Meeting the 2 of you and have you be a part of our wedding day is something we will always remember and hold near and dear. We both truly feel as thought we have made friends for life. We hope you are prepared for a visit from us each time we come to the islands. And in turn, we hope to hear from you every time you pass through so calla s well. Last year, as a graduation present for my daughter, we planned a vacation trip to Hawaii. I really wanted to make it special, as my wife has cancer. We have been married for 23 years, and I began to secretly plan a wedding vows renewal. I really had no idea who to contact, so I sent a generic request online. I got quite a few e-mails, but one really stood out. I was sent a personal E-mail, and received a telephone call from Cherished in Hawaii Weddings. Carrie and I began a long distance conversation over the space of a couple of weeks. Carrie was so moved by our story that she really went out of her way to help. With her help, we concocted a story that we were going to visit an old Army Buddy (Mark) and arranged to meet at the JW Marriott for dinner. My wife was completely taken by surprise. Carrie and Mark made us feel so special that we will be forever grateful. In the space of time that we were together, we felt that we had made friends for a lifetime. Carrie had so much enthusiasm about the ceremony that it really took us by surprise. It made our experience a very special one, and we will be forever grateful. We even had our photos and CD before we left the island, after only 3 days. The photos were fantastic. We are blessed every day, and I know that we were blessed by meeting such great people as Mark and Carrie. They are special people, and I would highly recommend them. Our experience with Cherished was amazing. Carrie and Mark are wonderful people who care about everyone they work with. From the start, I had a connection with Carrie that made it feel like I was working with an old friend instead of someone I'd never met who lived thousands of miles away. There is a lot of stress and details that can go along with planning a destination wedding. I believe I only experienced a fraction of that because I had Cherished to help me through it all. In fact, they pretty much did everything! I only had to make a few choices and then jump on a plane to paradise. Carrie is the best, and only works with the best of people. The videographers and limo driver were also very professional and fun to work with. We were even able to get our video and pictures in time to share with our friends and family at our reception back home, which was held a little over a week after we got married!
I have all the confidence in the world to say that you will be in safe and caring hands with Carrie and Mark at Cherished in Hawaii Weddings. They helped make our wedding the most memorable and special day it could be. I know they are committed to doing the same for anyone who is fortunate enough to find them!

After Tim and I decided that we were going to get married in Hawaii (half way between Australia and Mexico - he's from Australia, I'm from Mexico), I didn't really know how or where to start all the planning. I not only had to plan a wedding, but we were also moving to Perth, Australia right after the honeymoon, so I needed to plan for a move half way around the world (we were living in Houston at the time). I really needed to find a wedding planner that would make life a lot easier for me. I googled "weddings in Hawaii" and Carrie's website was one of the first ones that showed up. I sent her an email and shortly thereafter I received a call from her. From the first time we talked on the phone, I had a blast. She is always full of energy and makes you feel very much at ease. I had 5 months to plan the whole wedding and I could not have done it without Carrie's help. Whenever I was having any doubts, she was always very reassuring. She was amazing through the whole process. I told her what color scheme I wanted, and a couple types of flowers and I got a wonderful bouquet and centerpieces. When we arrived in Hawaii (3 days before the wedding) I was not stressed because I knew Carrie was taking care of everything. Our wedding day was everything we had ever imagined and WAY more thanks to Carrie and Mark. They both took wonderful pictures and they went out of their way to give us all the photos the very next day. I would highly recommend Cherished in Hawaii to anyone.

Hi Mark and Carrie, I wanted to write you to THANK YOU for your help in creating my most beautiful and definitely perfect wedding day. Everything turned out great and the day was so beautiful. Even now, 2 months after the event I am still buzzing with warm thoughts when I think back to my special day. It was everything I dreamt it will be and more! When my husband and I decided to get married in Hawaii, I sent a note to the tourism department and Carrie was the first one to call me back. It took some time for us to decide what type of wedding we wanted and who we wanted to be our wedding planner. However, we made the best choice picking Carrie and have never regretted the decision. Even before we had officially signed with her, she dove straight into our wedding providing us ideas we could look into. I thought that was showing initiative and was impressed with that. Carrie is great to work with. She listens to your ideas and offers her honest opinions and adds in other ideas. You know by talking to her that she’s genuine. She loves what she does because it’s about people and she never stops focusing on that. The relationship portion is high on her scale. As a wedding planner, she is absolutely practical and honest. If you are like me, someone who dreams of her wedding day with her head in the clouds but her feet firmly planted on the ground, who doesn’t want to declare bankruptcy the day after the wedding and who believes that the most important element isn’t the amount of flowers but the relationships and memories being built that day, then you like me will love Carrie. She helped me balance my dream with practical solutions. I love that she tries to maximize your budget and makes the effort to find good vendors with the best value. She really thinks of all the details. Leading up to the wedding, I was changing my mind quite abit but she handled that beautifully. She was not stressed about it at all but allowed me to talk through them and also found ways to try and incorporate my additions into the plan. The wedding day was beautiful. Mark was our minister and he was very calm and relaxed and was very easy to talk too. All the vendors that Carrie works with are fabulous! A testament to how meticulous she is to working with the right people. The photographer, setup vendor, the caterers(we had 2 , one for our welcome dinner), the makeup artist, the cameraman, everyone was so professional and fantastic and just wonderful people. We had rave reviews from our guests on the food, how delicious it was! On the wedding day, I love love love the whole setup and the whole ambience that was created. It all came to life exactly as I would have wanted it without me spending an arm and a leg for. The whole day was relaxing because Carrie was around to take care of details and the wedding and the night was beautiful and fun and fantastic. And Carrie and Mark made it happen. To be honest, I can go on and on raving about them because not only are they professional wedding planners, but they are genuine good people. Who care for their clients and their wellbeing. Mark and Carrie are the Best! We found out short notice that we were going to Hawaii for business. We had already planned a wedding for the following year but decided to look into getting married in Hawaii. I put my information on line and right away I received a phone call from Carrie. I had a few other people call me the next day but something told me to stay with Cherished in Hawaii Weddings. I am so glad I trusted my intuition. We had the most beautiful wedding! Secret Cove is amazing. Our pictures turned out beautiful. If you are trying to decide what extras you would like definitely choose the photography and the video. We had a reception when we got home and our family and friends were so happy to be able to see our pictures and our wedding video. It really made our reception perfect! Carrie and Mark, Thank you so much for helping me to create the perfect day for Garrett and I to start our lives together. After having been in three weddings in the past year, a big stressful wedding was the last thing that either of us wanted. Garrett has been married before and had a big wedding that resulted in a big divorce, and didn’t want a repeat, this was the perfect solution for us. We had the most amazing wedding, one that I must say everyone is jealous of. It was intimate, private, romantic, and just plain whimsical. The location that you picked out was unbelievable, I didn't think that such beauty existed...outside of my new husband!! I am so glad that I found you because you made the process of marrying the man of my dreams easy. You acted as a wedding planner, it was so easy, I didnt have to worry about finding flowers, or a restaurant to go to afterwards, you did it all for me, and on a very affordable budget. I cant imagine a more beautiful bouquet of flowers, or better food...Roys is off the hook! It was a bumpy road that Garrett and I had to travel down to secure a date, as you know. Working around the military’s schedule was not so easy for us especially after we had to replan our entire trip when his leave did not get approved. You helped me so much in staying calm. I was shocked and relieved when you called me immediately after having found out that we had to move our date, and find a new hotel to stay at. We want to tell you how much we appreciate your excellent service so professional and personal. Carrie, you are a very special person and you make, with Mark, a wonderful job : make people feel great on this very special day. When we first thought of getting married in Hawaii, we were a bit worried, first because of the language barrier (we are french canadians) and second because we didn't have any reference and have to go through internet. But Carrie, you are very efficient, patient with all my qualms and also available (always returning my calls or answers my mails in a very short delay). Our wedding day was wonderful. Many thanks to both of you. Even though Mark had celebrated many weddings, the ceremony was touching, personalized and memorable. I loved the Hawaiian prayer that he recited during our ceremony, it set our wedding apart from everyone else’s. Our pictures were amazing. Looking at our CD, there were so many usable pics on it that I couldn't even get them all developed because it cost too much. What you and your husband do is amazing, you made the most important day of my life one that I will never forget, one that I will cherish and be able to look back on for the rest of my life. Mark, you married us on the beach on Kaanapali 15 years ago and I contacted you for the vow renewal at the same location. We really wanted this to be very informal yet special to Ray and myself. That is EXACTLY what we got!! Carrie you add such a special touch with your warm and gentle personality-you are both special to us-Having been married by Mark 15 years ago and now seeing him and having our vows renewed just made everything seem so new again.
